Romina Castaneda graduated from Frank L. Madla Early College High School in May of 2019 as her class Salutatorian.
She has now completed her first round of midterms at the University of Texas – where she received a $48,000 Impact Scholarship.
Because she entered her university career with an Associates Degree under her belt, she was able to pursue a double major in East Asian Languages and Cultures and International Relations and Globalization with a graduation date of 2023.
When asked about how attending FLMECHS helped her transition into university life, Romina shares, “My high school experience gave me a foundation that prepared me for the workload that I now manage. Because I entered with college experience, I do not struggle the way my college peers do. I feel like I can achieve anything.”
Romina aspires to work at a United States Embassy as an International Diplomat.
